Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

This light and fresh trifle is a perfect dessert for warm summer days. It is really easy to put together and tastes as good as it looks! If you’re looking for something sweet to serve at a family gathering then this is definitely what you should make!

This trifle is filled with strawberries, cake, cream cheese mouse, strawberry sauce and whipped cream. The perfect combination of flavors!

I assembled my trifle in a large glass bowl, but you can layer it in small dessert glasses if you prefer to have a few mini individual trifles ☺️

  • strawberries for layering and decorating

Strawberry sauce:

  • 2 cups strawberries cut into small chunks
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Cream cheese mousse:

  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 400 ml whipping cream
  • 3-4 tablespoons powdered sugar

Whipped cream:

  • 400 ml whipping cream
  1. Bake the cakes and let cool. Then, cut the cakes into small cubes.
  2. Prepare the strawberry sauce: mix the chopped strawberries, sugar and lemon juice and cook over a medium-low heat for about 15-20 minutes, let simmer and keep mixing. Leave the sauce to cool down as it will thicken when it’s cool.
  3. Next prepare the cream cheese mousse: Beat the whipped cream, add the sugar and at the end add the cream cheese, spoonfull at a time (still mixing).
  4. In the end beat the remaining whipped cream.
  5. To assamble the trifle place the small cubes of the cake on the bottom, spread the cream cheese mousse on top of it, then the strawberry sauce, then some strawberries and repeat the layer again or two more times depending on the size of your trifle bowl. Top the trifle with a layer of whipped cream and decorate with strawberries.
